Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia

We’ve been taking a special interest in fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients since the 1980’s. We’ve recognized the symptoms and began developing a basic protocol to address the main problem areas of fibromyalgia (and chronic fatigue which is similar and related) before the disease was recognized. The protocol must be individualized to each patient, to achieve positive results with fibromyalgia. A generalized cookie cutter approach just doesn’t work well with each unique, yet similar, fibromyalgia patient. While fibromyalgia does not have a magic bullet cure, there are definitely approaches which can often reduce the pain and problems of fibromyalgia. The areas of stress on the body we investigate and approach with fibromyalgia are:

· Spinal imbalances
· Muscle and soft tissue tightness
· Nutrition/dietary issues
· Sleep problems
· Exercise/stretching
· Stress/psychosocial issues

There are usually several problems to varying degrees in more than one of the areas listed above. Some problems can be addressed in a short period of time, however most patients require a slow delicate approach in several problem areas to achieve relief. Progress in therapy must be carefully tailored to the individual. While all areas often must be addressed (or at least analyzed), there needs to be individualized guidance directed by the doctor for order and progress of therapy. Patients need to have full disclosure of ALL their problems with their doctor for the best results. If you have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, put your health in our hands.
